Cedar Key’s 47th Annual Seafood Festival

FUN FOR ALL IN BEAUTIFUL CEDAR KEY
SATURDAY OCTOBER 15TH – SUNDAY OCTOBER 16TH
9:00 AM TO 5:00 PM – FREE ADMISSION

For Immediate Release – Cedar Key, Florida

On behalf of our entire community, the Cedar Key Lions Club welcomes visitors to the 47th Annual Cedar Key Seafood Festival. Pardon our dust, our tarps, our smudges and our missing pieces. The past few weeks have been a challenge. Hurricane Hermine dealt our island a vicious blow. Despite the hardship, citizens and volunteers alike have adopted the Lions motto “We Serve”. Working together, we’ve transformed Cedar Key into a vibrant festival venue.

This year’s Seafood Festival brings together artisans, woodworkers and crafters from across the Southeast. Stroll the midway and see the vendors. Visitors are sure to find that “special something” among the 155 vendors on Cedar Key’s bustling 2nd Street.

Delight in the marching groups, floats and golf carts in Saturday’s Seafood Festival Parade. Stepping off at 11 o’clock the parade features the theme “Healthy Cedar Key, Healthy Gulf”.

Enjoy live music throughout the weekend from our “Working Waterfront – Clam Boat Stage” on City Park beach. Featured artists include Shade Tree, Billy Miller, Lisa and Paul Rice, Jamey King and more.

Seafood?? The freshest and the finest is found in City Park. Experience steamed clam dinners, oyster dinners, shrimp dinners and clam strip dinners. Feast on crab cakes, steamed clams, clam fritters and smoked mullet. Don’t forget fish nuggets, shrimp tacos, fish sandwiches and shrimp skewers. Landlubbers will savor chicken skewers, burgers, hot dogs, funnel cakes and corn on the cob. Plus, lemonade, fruit salad, fruit smoothies and more. Service clubs, nonprofit organizations and student groups do all the cooking in City Park.

Every dollar raised from food sales in City Park stays in Cedar Key and supports local service efforts in our community. Don’t leave City Park without recycling at our sustainability station and visiting the informative displays in City Park Pavilion.

A special “thank you” to each of you for attending this event. Your support helps our community recover. Your support helps the Cedar Key Lions serve others throughout Levy County.
