District Website – Features and Improvements

World Wide Web

The Lions District 35-L Directory is now ready for use on our District website at www.lionsof35l.com. THE PASSWORD HAS ALSO CHANGED FOR THIS LIONS’ YEAR. Below is the direct link address to the directory.

Address To Directory: http://lionsof35l.com/directory/.

All Lions in the District with an email address on file with LCI should have received an email with the latest password to the directory. If you did not receive the email, or if at any time during the year you need the password again, please email me at frank@dunnellonlionsclub.com. Also feel free to email me if you see any changes that need to be made.

Keep in mind there is a separate username/password to “Log in” to the site that is only used if you want to add a news post or calendar event.

For those wanting to contribute to the website, all club officers, district officers, and committee chairs will receive a separate email with the username and password to be able to add information to the website. If you have not yet received this email, you should receive it sometime this month.

The online District Calendar has also been updated to include Governor visits, district meetings, and club events. Use this calendar as a secondary source of information, as date changes may not be reflected on the online calendar.

A few of items have been brought to my attention to improve the website and have been implemented.

  • Website printing: Some Lions like to print out information on the website, but when printed, too much unneeded items would print, such as the website banner, menu items, etc. This has now been improved to only print needed information.
  • Email distribution: In the past, email subscribers to the website would receive an email every time a new post was made to the website. To cut down on email messages, only posts marked with the “Important” category will trigger an email to be sent to users. For Lions who would like to know anytime a news post is made, you can still follow one of our social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Google +, Tumbler) to receive all notifications when a post is created.
  • Search feature: The Search feature has been updated to return better results for searching the website. You will now receive search results from anything on the website including news posts, calendar events, directory listings and more. NOTE: In order to see search results from directory listings, you must have entered the directory password.
