Partner in Service

There is so much information available to us at our Lions Clubs International (LCI) website that many of us have never taken advantage of. Each time I go onto their site I always find something new and exciting. So, this month if you have not been onto the LCI site I am encouraging you to check it out, especially the “Lions Member Center” where you can access resources needed to plan your service projects, manage membership and lead your club.

You will be able to download the Lions Club Resources that you need including logos, publications, forms and your important “certificates of insurance”. Videos are available showing how Lions are making an impact around the world and can be downloaded to share at your next meeting or event.

The Strengthen Membership and Clubs section gives you tips to help start a new club, invite new members, finance forms and much more. Under Managing a Club you will find resources for club officers including PR tools, planning guides, finance forms. etc. Need help in planning your next Lions Project? You will find ways to meet community needs by helping you plan your service activities focused on sight, youth, the environment and more.

If you are interested in Becoming a Lions Leader you will discover training resources and leadership development opportunities which include online courses and webinars. The webinars available online take only 60 minutes of your time and no matter what subject you choose you will come away with invaluable and useful information.

Many of our Lions have joined their clubs for the networking opportunities available to them. In the Connect with Lions Online section you can use the online tools to share your stories, photos and ideas and network with other Lions around the world.

On the Lions Member Center you will also find information on: Relieving Hunger Project Ideas; Lions Frequently Asked Questions; and the Lions Clubs International (LCI) Trademark Policies.

This section of the LCI website is only a small sampling of what is there for you to explore, learn and enjoy. So the next time you get an opportunity go onto: Lionsclubs.org and check out what you may have been missing. Enjoy!

Yours in Lionism,
Lion Diane Melnick,
2nd Vice-District Governor

A leader takes people where they want to go.
A great leader takes people
where they don’t necessarily want to go,
but ought to be.
